Our research group sits at the intersection of science and medicine.

Understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive aggressive forms of breast cancer–and how we can overcome them.

We are translationally oriented and are interested in true “bench to bedside” medicine with several of our research group’s projects currently in various phases of clinical trial development and accrual. We seek to understand how radiation can be more effectively used to cure women with breast cancer.  This includes aggressive forms of breast cancer like triple negative and inflammatory breast cancer.  In addition, we are also interested in breast cancer stem cell niches, metastasis, and how to leverage the body’s own immune system to more effectively fight breast cancer.
